Card Attachment Secure System...

Designed to process plastic cards, the CASS range comprises four different machines, known as MAILoks. Unlike the BIS, each is custom built for a specific application but owing to its modular design, with each new application it is possible to install a new module. The MAILoks are ready for the future. This is proven in the field with some early machines capable of biometrics and contactless verification.

Each system is highly flexible, robust and can take just minutes to set up using the DIALok control system.

The flagship model is the MAILok C6000, capable of processing up to 6,000 cards per hour, with up to four cards affixed per carrier document. A typical application would be to affix a family's identity cards, verify the applicable data, insert into an envelope and print.

The midrange MAILok C3000 can attach up to six cards per carrier, but at a slower speed of 3,000 cards per hour. It is more flexible than the C6000 and is aimed at customers with short, difficult runs meaning conversion periods are more relevant than a high working speed.

The MAILok CASSilo can attach up to 8 cards per carrier, entirely selectively at speeds of up to 3,600 cards per hour. It was designed to fill the gap between the solid, high range products for high volumes and the small card affixing systems for medium and small volumes that are often less reliable.

The MAILok C100 is a desktop based solution, designed to ensure manual affixing is secure and accurate. Remakes are inevitable but to process the small batch takes time. After the operator introduces the card to the C100, it will automatically check the database for information, print a new personalised carrier and envelope, and ensure all data matches. A log can be sent with the completed job, detailing when each process occurred.
