Hot stuff in the most romantic city on earth...

This year at Cartes, Datacard Ga-Vehren will be unveiling the new hot foil module for the CPST MJ7500 system! The MJ card personalisation line on stand 3D043 will also feature a label applicator as well as UV DOD and MEK print heads to demonstrate flexibility and short changeovers.

Hot foil scratch off panels allow for a more secure and efficiently-produced card. Hot foil fuses itself with the plastic card, making it impossible to remove the label without destroying the card. Some customers prefer hot foil for secure applications.

We will be running three formats during the show. The first will be a 5-in-1 foiling format. 5 hot foil stamps will be applied over MEK-based ink on a paper card.

The second 5-in-1 format will use scratch off labels. We will UV DOD print onto 500 micron plastic cards, cure the ink and then apply 5-in-1 scratch off labels.

A regular CR80 card format will also be demonstrated with our proven UVDOD inkjet system, lo-co encoding and standard scratch off labels.
