Cross-Core Labels from Web Technology!

Our experience in the plastic card industry has taught us that there is a requirement in the UK for top-quality scratch off labels, delivered with excellent customer service at an unbeatable price. Our partnership with Web Technology, a leading innovator in scratch off technology, makes this possible.

Web Technology is a US-based company which is constantly advancing the label manufacturing process to achieve exceptional economies of scale. This allows us to supply volumes of top quality, high performance labels at very competitive prices. Continuous improvements have also led to the development of the industry’s most durable and problem-free liner material.

Web Technology developed the Cross-Core label for high volume card manufacturers. A standard production Cross-Core roll contains as many as 10 times the number of labels as a standard flat roll, allowing for hours of non-stop production; drastically increasing your throughput without additional equipment and labour costs.

UFE now offers scratch off labels, supplied either in a single or cross-core reel. These can be manufactured according to the options below.

Print Pattern: custom to match your print design or logo or choose from a standard layout such as plain silver, zebra or wavy line.
Dimensions: Scratch Off Labels can be produced in any size.  Choose one of our standard shapes, or contact us to develop a custom format.
Ink coverage: Printed with full bleed or trapped security panel.
Custom Options: Holographic, reflective foil and custom colour scratch off inks.
Material: 2 mil Clear Polystyrene with permanent adhesive.
Liner: 2.5 mil polyester or reinforced paper.
Wind position: Right or Left Off depending on your label application system.

We also supply security, promotional and magstripe labels.

Cross Core Savings

Cross Core labels can be used on most labellers. Our UK customers run on Datacard and Atlantic Zeiser equipment. We have also run successful UK trials on Profold card personalisation systems. Some older lines require a vacuum extraction kit which we can supply for under US $400. Using Cross-Core Labels can mean changing a reel once per shift instead of about every 40 minutes. The less a machine running production is stopped, the better. Not just because of savings in downtime but also because of the prevention of potential start up/stop issues which cause additional downtime / card wastage.

Web Technology has an online calculator to allow you to see what your savings could be for each of your current label sizes. May I suggest that you see for yourself what your efficiency gains could be?

If you are interested in investigating the cross-core concept, please provide me with your current label and labeller details (label size, print pattern, security cuts, normal order quantity and host machine) and we will provide a budgetary quotation for you.

Kind regards,
Lindsay.
