Common formats include:
Read and Print. Feed an A4 carrier and score twice (so it can be subsequently plow folded down to DL), feed a plastic card and read the magnetic stripe, affix the card to the centre panel, inkjet the card number on the carrier and make two plow folds (petrol and supermarket loyalty cards).
- as above but fold from A4 down to A5 (supermarket loyalty cards).
Match Mount. Feed a plastic card and read the magstripe, read OCR or barcode pre-printed on the carrier, affix the card to the carrier, divert any mismatches.
Blind Mount. No matching. Affix a plastic card to a carrier, possibly fold.
Mount and Label. Affix a plastic card onto a mobile top-up carrier, apply an activation label onto the card, make one plow fold.
